Black: A safe bet… but not always strategic
We love it: it slims the figure, elevates an outfit, and simplifies our busy mornings. However, when worn near the face, black can accentuate natural shadows and make features appear more defined. If you truly love this color—and we understand!—opt for it on the lower part of your face or soften its intensity with a bright scarf, light-colored jewelry, or subtle makeup.
Overly deep navy: When elegance lacks radiance
Dark blue is often considered a “safe” alternative to black, but it can produce a similar effect when it’s too saturated. The result: the complexion looks less even, less vibrant, as if the light is no longer reflecting correctly. To maintain its elegance without losing luminosity, opt for brighter blues: royal blue, indigo, peacock blue… true allies for a healthy glow.
Pastels: Soft on paper, less flattering on the skin…
